Monthly total: 122 volunteer days for 367 hours work

We gave away 29.5 dozen eggs for the month.

last two weeks: 42 volunteer days 136 hours work

March 31st, 2013

Today we had 14 volunteers for 40 hours work

We had an easter egg hunt with about 6 dozen eggs and lots of kids

Today we had an easter egg hunt at the farm, there was candy and cake and egg-dying and dodgeball

We cleaned up some beds to get ready for planting

We dug out the rat-infested bed and repaired the flooring.  Used the soil in the newly finished bed.

We pruned the fruit trees for springtime, they’re budding out

Yesterday we had 7 volunteers for 36 hours work

We cleaned the coop and turned the compost

We seeded some pole beans and other things at broadway

We finished another rectangular planter box

A neighbor hardboiled the eggs for easter

We got a bunch of fruit and nut trees and bushes in the mail.  We soaked the roots and potted them.

Thursday 6 volunteers for 9 hours work

woodshop worked on skinny border/fence planter beds

Last Sunday

We had 4 volunteers for 16 hours work

We gave away 7 dozen eggs and 2 bags of clothes

We prepared the garden at broadway for planting.

We planted seeds in the cold frames.

Last Saturday

We had 4 volunteers for 14 hours work

We started a new compost pile , cleaned the chicken coop and gave out 2 bags of clothes.

Last Friday

We had 1 volunteer for 2 hours work

Worked with Lyons School

Last Thursday

We had 3 volunteers for 11 hours work

Jobpath for 3 hours

Lyons school for 2 hours

Woodshop for 2 hours

Last Wednesday

We had 2 volunteers for 6 hours work

At the woodshop we built planter boxes

Last Monday

1 volunteer for 2 hours

March 17th, 2013

Today we had about 15 volunteers for 45 hours work.

we gave away 6 dozen eggs, some clothes, and a bunch of honey.

we cleaned the coop and chicken area

we built a new compost pile

we removed a pergola and build a bee hive area and moved the bee hive to broadway

we harvested honey

we worked on planter beds

we skateboarded a lot on the freshly paved stockton street

Saturday we had 4 volunteers for 14 hours work.

we worked at broadway.  and it snowed.

Friday we had 1 volunteer for 1.5 hours work.

we worked with lyon’s community school

Thursday we had 1 volunteer for 8 hours work.

we worked with jobpath

we worked in the woodshop from 2-6

Wednesday we had 1 volunteer1 for 4 hours work.

we worked in the woodshop from 2-6

Tuesday we had 1 volunteer for 1 hour work.

we met with NYRP to get keys for their garden across from our broadway lot

Monday we had 1 volunteers for 2 hours work.

we worked with lyon’s community school.

We had a great article published in the Daily News.

March 10th, 2013

The tally so far this month is 56 volunteer days for 155 hours labor

Today we had 12 volunteers for 40 hours work.

We finished 3 planter boxes

We gave away 5.5 dozen eggs and a bag of clothes

Yesterday we had 6 volunteers for 17 hours work.

Turned the compost, cleaned the coop, got water

Friday snowstormed. 2 volunteer for 4 hours work

Thursday we had 4 volunteers 8 hours work

we did woodshop work

Wednesday we had 2 volunteers for 5 hours work

we did woodshop work

Tuesday we had 4 volunteers for 8 hours work

we worked on planters at stockton

March 4th, 2013

Today we had 3 volunteers for 8 hours work

we worked on shelving in the coop and the planter boxes

we received a donation of two rain barrels from NYRP

Yesterday we had 15 volunteers for 30 hours work

We gave away 5 dozen eggs and collard greens

A bag of clothes and 3 jars of carrots

We worked on planter construction, transplanting, bed preparation, composting

We cleaned the chicken coop

5 youth volunteers worked on the planting schedule after hours

Today we had 5 volunteers for 20 hours work

Broadway and Stockton were open all day

We worked on the toolshed and planter beds

Today we had 3 volunteers for 15 hours work

We picked up wood

We worked in the woodshop for  2 hours

We built the base of a tree planter at Stockton
